Worldwide, the development of concrete technology and innovation in products that modify the properties of concrete are growing rapidly. Peru is not indifferent to this accelerated race to optimise the quality and durability of concrete. Thus, the study of permeability, one of the most important parameters that define both the strength and durability of concrete, is gaining emphasis. Admixtures and admixtures are currently used in order to improve the characteristics of concrete and to optimise the cost and production time of concrete. The research process carried out in this paper focuses on analysing cylindrical specimens of 4 designs at different doses of nano silica based admixture (0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%) which will be tested by the compressive strength and permeability methods according to current regulations. The results obtained show a better development of the compressive strength for the higher additive dosage, despite the fact that it contains less cement. As for the permeability results, better results were obtained for the dose of 1.5%. It was concluded that the addition of nano silica admixture contributes to the development of the compressive strength of concrete at early ages, and also has a direct influence on the permeability property which is improved with the use of the mentioned admixture.
