The objective of this research is to redesign the current geometric design of the central road of the curves located at kilometers 111 to 112 located in the town of Casapalca, in order to reduce the traffic generated in these curves and improve the trafficability of the road. The level of applied research will be descriptive and explanatory, on the other hand, the research design will be field and experimental. The number of vehicles traveling on the road from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during one week was counted, resulting in a total of 4,427 vehicles, including cars, buses, trucks and trailers. The VHMD, FMHD, peak hour and IMDA of 620 vehicles per day were obtained as results, classifying the road by demand as second class, also, based on orography it is classified as undulating terrain type II and according to the DG-2018 the design speed is from 60 to 80 km/h. Based on the data obtained, the geometric redesign of the road is generated, expanding the curves located in these sections and respecting the rules of the Highway Manual: Geometric Design DG-2018. The geometric redesign is concluded by verifying it with the Vehicle tracking software to visualize the improvement in vehicular trafficability.
