It is highly probable that an earthquake of considerable magnitude will occur on the Peruvian coast in the near future. This is why, the implementation of proven and simple models becomes a fundamental resource to guarantee the structures capacity to resist seismic forces and, consequently, reduce the danger of eventual collapse, especially in an environment characterized by a seismic risk, as is the case of Peru. In this sense, the objective of the research was to determine the influence of the behavior models of confined masonry walls on the capacity curve of the structure. The research evaluates a structural model that incorporates the representation of different models of confined masonry walls and compares the effects it has on the capacity curve of the structure. Also, it was evident that the influence of the behavior models of masonry walls is significant in both directions, since according to the model of Flores and Alcocer the structure develops a greater displacement and reaches a greater maximum shear than the model of Riahi, Elwood and Alcocer. For the one-level structure the increase in displacement is 66% in both directions. The increase in cracking shear is 13% in the X-X direction and 17% in the Y-Y direction. The increase in the maximum shear is 35% in the X-X direction and 41% in the Y-Y direction. Finally, it is concluded that the models significantly influence the capacity and ductility of a structure.
