There are avenues, streets and intersections with serious road safety problems and they greatly affect pedestrians, who are the most vulnerable. These places must have the necessary road safety equipment, especially if they are essential places. This is the case of the intersection under study, and due to its proximity to health and educational centers, these are main focuses of pedestrian attraction, therefore the pedestrian capacity is considerable, and by not having the aforementioned implements, this negatively affects the safety of pedestrians. This is evidenced by the record of 27 accidents during the years 2019 to 2022. The problem covers the impact due to the lack of road safety devices on the road to protect pedestrians, since it seeks to prevent or reduce traffic accidents. The methodology used makes use of the following tools: vehicular and pedestrian capacity, proposed checklist, surveys, plans, modeling and micro simulation in specialized software of the current and improved problems. Based on all this, a road improvement solution focused on pedestrian traffic was proposed and the main results were based on the implemented system, where a variation in travel time in the main focuses of an increase of 22.64% was obtained. and 33.88%. Also, the EMV of pedestrians in these areas decreases by -49.36%, -16.35%, -34.56% and -30.80%, which means that pedestrians can travel with greater road safety.
