The land transportation industry in Peru is growing exponentially gaining an important market share in recent years, so it is important to have properly defined processes for this growth to be continuous. This research work aims to analyze various methodologies to help solve the inadequate processes in the operations area of the transportation company IF Inversiones E.I.R.L. It is important to highlight the importance of an adequate process in the operations area within a company, as this helps to define the steps to follow, successfully carry out any activity that arises and thus achieve business objectives. To solve this problem, three methodologies have been proposed and evaluated to determine which one is best suited to the situation. In this case, the 5S methodology is the most appropriate to address the problem posed. This is because, through its defined phases, it offers solutions that fit the objectives of this research. Inadequate processes in a company, especially in the operations area, result in complications in the development of its activities. This, in turn, generates demotivation among employees and dissatisfaction among customers. In conclusion, it is evident that incorrect processes have a negative impact on the company, in that sense, it is important to have an appropriate methodology for better business decision making.
