The objective of this work is to evaluate the redesign of the Pacucha branch and the implementation of road devices to improve road safety using the star rating methodology of the iRAP vida software. This is achieved through a detailed analysis of current road conditions by reporting road accidents, followed by determining the location of black spots requiring improvement. Likewise, the geometric redesign was carried out with DG-2018, which contributes significantly to road safety along with the proposal for the implementation of road devices that include signage, lighting, metal barriers and speed bumps. These devices are essential to alert drivers to dangerous situations, guide them and reduce the risk of accidents. Finally, to validate the redesign, the iRAP vida software was used. Here, the necessary and required attributes for each section were entered according to the road design, to then obtain the number of stars that demonstrate whether the section is optimal to avoid the greatest number. of accidents or if it is necessary to improve the introduced attributes.
