Acurio Restaurants, a gastronomic group that stands out for its contribution to the dissemination and promotion of Peruvian cuisine, developed the “Sorprende” program, a job recognition platform, as an internal communication strategy for collaborators. According to a report by Dench (2021), only 54% of workers indicate having received recognition for their work performance, highlighting the importance of fostering a work environment where the achievements of collaborators are valued. This data highlights the importance of maintaining a work environment where the achievements of collaborators are recognized, promoting a positive work environment and commitment to the organizational culture. For this reason, the main objective of the “Sorprende” program was to improve satisfaction in the work environment; and, the specific objectives were to promote a culture of recognition among collaborators and strengthen work performance. A methodology was carried out based on an internal communication campaign and market research. Likewise, key requirements, technology evaluation, prototyping, usability testing, and finally the implementation of the program were identified. After the implementation of the Program, the work environment survey increased from 74% to 80%, exceeding the goal of 78%, which highlights the effectiveness of the program in improving the work environment and organizational culture. In this context, it is essential that future communicators and internal communication leaders commit to leading this cultural change, as it strengthens the well-being of the team and is crucial for the sustainable growth of organizations.
