In this Professional Sufficiency Work, the situation of a pets supply trading company that has been working since 2018 in Peru is presented. This organization has its predecessor in Chile, which has been in the market for 40 years and is one of the established companies in the field. From the beginning of its activities, the Peruvian analyzed company worked with product brands that were already present in the market of its Chilean counterpart, as well as with suppliers and international transport agents. These because they sought to maintain agreements based on promotions, discounts and commercial ties, initially this generated positive results and the company, despite the pandemic, was widely accepted. However, at the beginning of this year, the company, as a result of a decision between the Chilean company and one of its suppliers, suffered the cutting of a star product for the cat market. The sales of this product represent a significant percentage of the company's total sales, considering that the cat market in Latin America is increasing, not having this product and without backup options represents a considerable reduction in income. The analyzed company found it necessary to evaluate new response options to the situation, among which arose the manufacturing of its own substitute product to this previous one that can increase income, preferably at a lower cost. This TSP proposes, in addition to serving the local market, to evaluate the option of positioning the new product in a foreign market in order to generate greater benefits for the company. This proposal for the internationalization of goods would occur through indirect export to the Mexican market and its feasibility will be studied for a horizon of 5 years starting in 2024.
