Executing a strategic management effectively defines the performance and competitive advantage that a company has over another, based not only on financial health, but also on the performance and stability that it may have. To achieve this, there are financial indicators that allow measuring income, expenses, costs, profitability, indebtedness, liquidity, solvency and others. Also, non-financial indicators focus on the processes or collaborators of each department, such as the level of sales, staff turnover, customer service time, customer satisfaction level or productivity. Having said that, the objective of this study is to know the value that financial and non-financial indicators have in the strategic management of a company and the influence that they manage to obtain within the decision-making. For this purpose, it is recommended to adopt quantitative research with a descriptive design to collect quantifiable information and it is suggested to use the questionnaire instrument consisting of 10 questions. To validate the instrument, a pilot sample of 10 people belonging to the business of marketing medical equipment was adopted. Complementing our work of validation of the instrument we proceeded to apply the Cronbach alpha coefficient, a metric that evaluates the reliability of the instrument, where a value of 0.73 is obtained which indicates that the instrument is highly reliable having values close to 1, demonstrating the internal consistency of the instrument. Once the bibliographic review has been completed, we can point out that financial and non-financial indicators are an important tool that help to evaluate the efficiency of a company both in the economic and financial situation and in the functioning of the different departments of the company and the efficiency of its work. These are of great importance for the strategic management of a company.
