The psychometric properties of the Perceived Social Support Scale (MOS) (Sherbourne & Stewart, 1991), considering the Colombian version (Londoño, 2012), were analyzed. The sample consisted of 200 people with chronic non transmissible diseases (34% men and 66% women) aged between 18 and 91 years (M = 59.5). The validity of the internal structure was through confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), obtaining fit indices (x2 = 448, gl = 143, x2/gl = 3.12, CFI = .92, TLI = .91, SRMR = .0394, RMSEA = .103) for the four-factor structure. The convergence with the Quality of Life Index (ICV) was positive in all associations. The reliability was acceptable, with an alpha between .86 and .96, and an omega between .87 and .96. It is concluded that the scale has adequate psychometric properties for use in similar populations in Peru.
