The purpose of the present study was to determine the psychometric properties of the Perceived Discrimination in the LGBT Community Scale (PDLCS) in Peru. A sample of 279 adults, both male and female from the LGBT community living in Peru, was collected through convenience sampling. A quantitative instrumental approach was used with a questionnaire of 30 items: 20 corresponding to the Perceived Discrimination Scale and 10 to the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CDRS). To assess the evidence of validity based on the internal structure of the instrument, a confirmatory factor analysis was performed, which resulted in adequate fit indices for the model of eight related factors (χ²/gl = 3.50, CFI = .858, TLI = .840, SRMR = .0732, RMSEA = .0947). Internal consistency and omega coefficient values ranged from .89 to .91. Spearman's nonparametric test was used for the analysis of divergent validity between the PDLCS and CDRS dimensions. It is observed that the individual and group dimension of the PDLCS presented a weak negative correlation with the CDRS dimension. It is concluded that the PDLCS has adequate psychometric properties for use in the LGBT+ population.
