Since the 1960´s, the modelo market in Chiclayo was created to supply the population of the time, little by little it grew and became the main food market in the city. With the arrival of modernity, this commercial establishment has been deteriorating and slum in an unsustainable way. Today, Defensa Civil has declared it in a state of emergency and should no longer operate due to the lack of cleanliness and basic systems such as electricity and water - drainage. The main proposal of this thesis project is to create a new market, in the same current location, preserving its own culture of commerce, but with no chaos, a clean establishment and safety. The approach must comply with the great demand for stands that it has today and the projected in the next 10 years. Also, a gastronomic area will be created on the second floor to help revitalize the area in post-market hours, at night.
