Introduction: Objective: to study the psychometric properties of the Cognitive Flexibility Scale (CFS) (Martin and Rubin, 1995), Method: The study was carried out on a sample of 200 university students from Lima (54% women, 45% men and 1% not binary) with ages between 18 and 28 (M=21.1±SD= 1.99) selected in a non-probabilistic way for convenience. To do this, the Cognitive Flexibility Scale (Martin & Rubin, 1995) and the Self-Efficacy Scale (Arias & Rivera, 2019) were used as instruments. The methodological design was instrumental. Results: the last exploratory factor analysis (EFA) showed that the one-dimensional model reduced (12 to 7 items) was able to explain 61% of the explained variance. As for the convergent validity, this was highly significant, positive and strong (rho=-.777; p <.001). Finally, adequate reliability levels were reported (ꞷ=.88; α=.88). Discussion: Based on the results, it is concluded that initially the scale shows evidence of adequate psychometric functioning in the sample studied.
