This study investigated the relationship between work climate and job satisfaction among heavy cargo transport drivers in the city of Metropolitan Lima during the year 2022. The methodology employed was non-experimental and correlational. The sample consisted of 350 drivers selected from an estimated population of 76,457 heavy cargo drivers in Lima. A shortened version of the MSQ questionnaire was used, focusing on assessing job satisfaction and organizational climate. The results revealed that the majority of drivers perceived a low organizational climate (64.6%) and experienced a low level of job satisfaction (73.7%). A very strong positive correlation was found between organizational climate and job satisfaction of the drivers (Spearman correlation coefficient = 0.799, p < 0.05). Furthermore, significant positive correlations were identified between the dimensions of company policies (Spearman's Rho = 0.695, p < 0.05), supervisor support (Spearman's Rho = 0.678, p < 0.05), and job condition (Spearman's Rho = 0.825, p < 0.05) with drivers' job satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of collectively building a favorable work climate in specific aspects such as company policies, supervisor support, and job conditions to enhance job satisfaction among heavy cargo transport drivers in Lima.
