The research was of a non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational, and comparative design, with the participation of 229 medical students (47.2% men and 52.8% women), between the ages of 18 and 30, belonging to a private university, characterized by having had some type of loving relationship and suffered from violence. The instruments applied were a sociodemographic file, the Psychological Violence Scale and the Attitudes about Love Scale. The results indicated that Psychological Violence is negatively and significantly correlated with the styles of attitudes towards love Eros (-.258 ), Pragma (-.195) and Storge (-.238), while with Ludus (.221) and Manía (.198) they presented positive and significant correlations. Concluding the study is the existence of the tendency of a group of students to demonstrate their love by emotionally abusing the other, and another group that shows the presence of their love through compassion, understanding and unconditional friendship.
