The city of Ica, cradle of Pisco, has a strong viticultural role all over Peru. Every day, it receives national and international visitors in order to learn about its culture and customs. However, the poor infrastructure, lack of civic culture and cultural identity disadvantage tourism and Pisco micro-enterprises, reducing their consumption and production year after year. For this reason, an Interpretation Center with a focus on piscomaking is proposed together with a Pisco cellar. The project will be located in the “Alfredo Elías Vargas“ fairground, where the International Harvest Festival is celebrated, the most important Pisco festival in Peru; and that, at the same time, is in a deteriorated situation. Under these shortcomings, a building is proposed as an architectural landmark in the city, that highlights and represents the citizens, in addition to innovating and regenerating the urban landscape of this fairground, becoming a meeting point for the inhabitants of Ica. After analyzing the place, the population and its needs and typology, the functional packages, environments and their relationship between them are defined, to then specify the design criteria and give way to the creation of the project.
