The present work is based on the investigation, carried out by the authors, called “Proposal to Improve the Dyeing Process Applying Preventive Maintenance, SMED and Standardization in an Industrial Dry Cleaner” (Anexo 2). The project is structured in the chapters: Theoretical framework and state of the art, description and analysis of the process, improvement proposal and validation. The main objective of this project has been to identify the main causes of the low efficiency of the dyeing process of an industrial dry cleaner, since this impacts on the profitability of the company. The analysis of the process diagnosed that the main causes, they were due to reprocessing and availability of machinery. That is why an improvement proposal was developed to increase efficiency. For him design of the proposal, tools were used, SMED, MP and standardization of operations. Thus, with the implementation of the proposal, could increase the efficiency from 69% to 85.39%, decreasing the total time of thesystem and increasing order production. With the new results are expected to reach the goal of reducing the economic impact and the additional costs.
