Introduction: Peru has been one of the most affected countries by the COVID –19 pandemic, bringing with it changes in the process of knowledge and attitudes in medical students. Therefore, it's important to evaluate if the knowledges in this population about COVID –19 influences the attitudes against aspects related to the pandemic. Objective: Evaluate the existence of an association between knowledge and attitudes about the COVID –19 in a sample of medical students from “Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas” in 2021 Methods: This is an observational cross sectional analytical study between November 12th and endings of December 2021, in a sample of 276 medical students that were coursing third and seventh study year. For the measuring of knowledge and attitudes, Hernandez and Figueroa questionary was used. Appropriate analyses were performed for crude and adjusted prevalence. Results: 91.3% of population presented a high level of knowledge and a 32.25% showed a good attitude. With a non-significant result, we could see that participants with high level of knowledge have 18% less probability of having an inadequate attitude in comparison with participants with medium – low knowledge Conclusion: There is no association between knowledge and attitudes related with COVID –19. Studies in different types of communities are suggested to evaluate if the findings are specifics of this community
