Non-tariff measures applied to international trade have increased in recent years, affecting reported Peruvian fresh blueberry exports to China since 2017. The main objective of this study is to determine the impact of non-tariff measures adopted on the export volume of fresh blueberries under the Peru-China Free Trade Agreement from 2017 to 2022. The study variables are fresh blueberry export volume as the dependent variable and non-tariff barriers as the independent variable, which are defined as policies applied to the deferral of a tariff that can directly or indirectly affect the international trade flow of products (UNCTAD, 2019). Within these, Sanitary Measures (MS), Phytosanitary Measures (MF) and Technical Barriers to Trade (OTC) are included as an independent variable. The quantitative approach was applied through the trade gravity model, which allows international trade to be interpreted from numerical data that expresses the positive or negative impact of a free trade agreement on the economy of the signatory countries (Wood et al., 2017). The study concluded that the Sanitary Measures do not have an impact on the export volume of fresh blueberries, but the Phytosanitary Measures and Technical Barriers to Trade have a positive impact on the export volume of fresh blueberries under the Peru-China Free Trade Agreement in the years 2017 to 2022. Therefore, it is considered necessary for Peruvian blueberry exporting companies to analyze each impact in a particular way in order to take advantage of the associated benefits and boost the export volume under the Peru-China FTA.
