In the post-truth society, the overproduction of information has fostered misinformation and the exponential appearance of fake news, especially on social networks. It is for this reason that the present work finds out the repercussion of false news on the Peruvian vaccination process. This is qualitative research that used viewing techniques, interviews with specialists and an online survey for the general public. With this objective, three cases of fake news were evaluated: ineffectiveness of Sinopharm vaccines, medical tourism to Chile and false vaccination schedules. It was found that, according to the perception of specialists and the general public, the ineffectiveness of the vaccines from the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm, broadcast on Willax TV, was the false news that partially influenced the population to justify their absence from the vaccination centers, especially at the beginning of the immunization process. In addition, it was found that, possibly due to inadequate verification of the news by journalists, news about the vaccination process was disseminated that was not true, and that had a partial impact to increase discredit towards health professionals. information from the population. The importance of the work lies in knowing the possible influence of false news in the population during the Peruvian immunization campaign and contributes to the general discussion on this topic.
