Introduction. The expression “podcast” was formally born in 2004, when the English terms “IPod” and “Broadcast” were combined and, since then, its expansion has achieved a great scope. From being, in principle, a space for conversation to entertain, it has generated a perspective of deep and real connections with an audience that is growing every day. Nowadays, mental health is a topic that is becoming more and more relevant in society. Emotional wellbeing is essential to a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle, and as such, young people's interest in consuming content related to these issues has increased. However, little is known about the uses behind the consumption of this type of content, as well as its rewards in terms of emotional well-being. Methodology. Based on a semi-structured interview guide, the uses, and gratifications of emotional well-being podcasts in young people aged 20 to 30 are analyzed in order to identify the uses they present and determine the gratifications they perceive. Discussion and conclusions. The relevance and need for traditional and digital media to develop their role through new spaces for conversation, such as the “podcast”, is evident, not only to ensure an increase in the audience but also to obtain the scope of the desired message projected towards new segments of the population, as an innovative process to destigmatize through communication.
