Introduction: People with disabilities are excluded from participating in cultural spaces, since society perceives them from a welfare and medical perspective. Given this, communities of people with disabilities and allies managed accessible and inclusive film festivals for the use of their cultural rights. This research hopes to contribute to the visibility of inclusive cultural initiatives; hence, accessibility and management tools can be incorporated into the film industry and other cultural spaces. Methodology: Interviews addressed to the organizers of accessible and inclusive film festivals in 6 Latin American countries were used. Results: The contribution of cultural managers in cultural and public policies that benefit people with disabilities was found, in addition, the festivals act as training centers in cinematography and collaborative spaces for the claim of people with disabilities. Likewise, the accessibility executed in these festivals can be incorporated into festivals of different themes, thus achieving inclusion. Discussion and conclusions: It are evident how the different models of disability influence public policies for people with disabilities. Likewise, there are debates about cinematographic representation and the role of people with disabilities as filmmakers and artists.
