The current study tries to relate Social Support and Satisfaction with life, the specific objectives is to compare both variables using sex and workplace, of associative strategy, simple correlation design and cross-sectional. 169 older adults who worked in national institutions, one of this institutions is located in Apurimac and the other in Lima, the sample design was non-probabilistic for convenience. The Multidimensional Social Support Scale and the Life Satisfaction Scale, adapted to Peru by Yupanqui (2017) and Caycho et al. (2018), were applied. The findings were that there is a statistically significant relationship between life satisfaction and social support, with a moderate effect size; Life satisfaction relates moderately to Social Support from friends and significantly to Social Support from family and other significant ones. Likewise, significant differences were found in Social Support of friends depending on the locality, the people living in Lima scored highest in this dimension. Finally, receiving social support from friend or family and others is related directly with the life satisfaction.
