In Peru, 13,346 cases of violence against women between the ages of 18 to 29 have been reported (Ministerio de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables (MIMP), 2020). The highest rate of reports for severe assaults is evident in Lima and Huancavelica. Therefore, the objective is to characterize violence in romantic relationships among university women according to their place of residence, using the Dating Violence Questionnaire (CUVINO). The sample consisted of 194 university women from Lima (59.79%) and Huancavelica (40.21%), aged 18 to 25 years (Mean = 20.90, SD = 2.06). The research is an associative strategy with a controlled correlational design. Data analysis was based on RStudio programming. The first objective was to determine the interrelationship of the nodes, and it was observed that CAS (Physical Punishment) and INS (Instrumental Violence) have the strongest relationship. The second objective was to identify the central node of the network, with HUM (Humiliation) being the most influential. The third objective was to compare the nodes of the violence variable, and it was found that there are connections in one group that are not present in another group. It’s concluded that violence against women different depending on the geographical location of residence and that it affects their mental health and personal integrity.
