The main objective of this thesis is to analyze how e-commerce has impacted the results of companies in the tourism sector of Metropolitan Lima, year 2021, due to the impact of the restrictions taken by the government due to the pandemic, directly harming the tourism sector, causing one of its largest drops in sales. Thus, it is an explanatory type of research because it sought to determine the impact of e-commerce on the results of companies in the tourism sector of Metropolitan Lima. In addition, the design was non-experimental and longitudinal since the variables were not manipulated. The approach was also mixed; that is, qualitative and quantitative. The total number of tourism service providers in Metropolitan Lima was considered the population, which totaled 1889; however, after statistical sampling, 30 representatives of these companies remained as the research sample. Two instruments were applied to these representatives: the survey and the interview guide to learn about the research scenario. Thus, among the results it was found that e-commerce was not very important in Peru before the pandemic; however, when this type of commerce began to expand in the tourism sector. Thus, it was found that e-commerce has a significant impact on the results of companies in the tourism sector in Metropolitan Lima during the year 2021, as corroborated by the Pearson Chi-Square value, the degree of significance was 0.01 < 0.05.
