Coffee is one of the most emblematic products of Peru, having a productive extension in different regions of the country. The Peruvian jungle is one the richest since it concentrates the production of coffee beans. For this reason, the government has implemented Export Promotion Programs such as Sierra y Selva Exportadora, which provides support in international trade articulation to small and medium sized companies located in the jungle region in order to strengthen their export capacity. Consequently, the purpose of this research is to determine to what extent the participation of SMEs that export coffee from the Jungle in the “Sierra y Selva Exportadora” program is related to the performance obtained between the period 2019-2021. For this, the following dimensions were developed (i) Technical Assistance, (ii) Operational Assistance and (iii) Operational Assistance, all of them provided by the program. The research approach is mixed with a non-experimental design with a cross-correlational scope. In which, the qualitative phase, eleven unstructured interviews were applied to different representatives of coffee SMEs and consultants of Sierra y Selva Exportadora in order to analyze the information obtained through the Atlas.ti program. Meanwhile, in the quantitative phase, a survey was carried out on a Likert scale to 20 coffee SMEs to later analyze the data obtained in the SPSS software. With the aforementioned, a correlation coefficient of 0.834 was obtained, using the Rho Spearman statistical test, which indicated that the variables under study had a positive correlation.
