The main objective of this thesis project is to design an FTTH network based on the GPON standard, which covers all the technical environments of a telecommunications company facilities regulated by the MTC to solve the problems of attenuation and power levels in the transmission system of the video surveillance network following the recommendations of the ITU-T and good practices. Therefore, an analysis of the current network where the video surveillance system is deployed is carried out, as well as a study of the area where the fiber optic network will be deployed. In this sense, the topology requirements and the choice of each of the optical equipment that will be involved in the design of this system are determined. On the other hand, the calculations of the fiber characteristics are made to verify the maximum transmission capacity of the system and ensure the correct operation of the network, all this following the ITU-T recommendations. Finally, the data obtained is validated and a simulation of the network is carried out in order to corroborate the results obtained in the calculations.
