The Safe Travels seal is a certification for the tourism industry that has been granted in all countries of the world, which seeks to guarantee and support industry players in terms of biosafety and quality front of the international tourism. That is why the Peruvian government began to grant this distinction to related actors, as is the case of lodging establishments, which is a sector that has presented a high level of adoption of this certification at the national level. The main objective of this study is to determine to what extent the Safe Travels certification is related to the service export performance of certified hotel companies in the Cusco region between the years 2020-2021. For which, the dimensions analyzed for the variable “Safe Travels Certification“ are: “Pillar Operational and Personnel Preparation“, “Pillar Guarantee of a Safe Experience“, “Pillar Reconstruction of Confidence“ and “Pillar of Implementation of Appropriate Policies ”. Likewise, for the variable “Export performance“ “Economic results“, “Strategic results“ and “Attitudes towards export performance“ have been analyzed. The research was developed under a mixed approach. In the case of the qualitative approach, a methodological design called grounded theory was applied. While for the quantitative approach a cross-sectional descriptive - correlational design was developed. In the case of the qualitative approach, 11 semi-structured interviews were conducted with experts on issues related to the granting of the Safe Travels certification and with hotel companies that obtained this distinction. These were analyzed through the Atlas Ti tool. On the other hand, the collection of quantitative data was carried out through surveys on a Likert scale, which were filled out by 22 hotel companies and represent 88% of the selected population. Subsequently, they were processed using SPSS software and; Using Cronbach's Alpha, a reliability of 0.886 was obtained. Finally, a significance value of 0.169 was obtained, for which the null hypothesis was not rejected and therefore it was shown that there is no correlation between the Safe Travels certification and the service export performance of certified hotel companies in the region.
