The problem of mobility and automobile traffic congestion have increased in the cities of the world; Due to the process of urban development, in the city of Metropolitan Lima, the problem has worsened. For this reason, the government of the Peruvian capital has established temporary detours in certain sections of arterial roads in the network, with the aim of inviting to new cyclists. Due to the effects of Covid-19. Today, the city has a network of 294 km of Ciclovia’s, which have been implemented without proper planning. Given this, we evaluated the risk of poor planning that falls on the vulnerable user (the cyclist) at two intersections of said road network, with a high rate of motorized congestion. The main objective of this study is based on proposing corrective actions to avoid exposure to danger on cycle path users (countermeasures); due to lack of security at the intersections of Av. Faustino Sánchez Carrión block 1 with Hospital Militar and Av. De la Marina block 17 with Av. Universitaria block 24, belonging to the section of the Pershing-Marina bike path. In this sense, the risk matrix was developed with the most concurrent factors that occur at said intersections; to then obtain the level of risk and take actions in each one of them, the same that will allow mitigating said impact. The results obtained in the study analysis for both intersections are classified as a level 2 risk: Important Risk; which means that it presents several important danger factors. Finally, in addition to the analyzes developed, treatment schemes were proposed at the intersections to provide greater safety to cycle lane users, avoiding fatal and non-fatal accidents.
