The present investigation has as a problematic situation the low women participation in the audiovisual sector, specifically in the roles where decision-making is required. The topic is justified by convenience, social relevance, and practical implications. The main research question is: How does discrimination influence the perception of the women role in production houses in Lima Metropolitana? and the main objective is to analyze the influence of discrimination on the perception of the women role in production houses. Previously, research was carried out on violence against women; discrimination, prejudice, and stereotypes; and about audiovisual production houses. The theoretical framework is based on the development of the terms of discrimination, stereotypes, prejudices, and audiovisual production houses. Finally, from the methodology point of view, this research is developed under a constructivist interpretive paradigm and has a qualitative focus. In the same way, it has a realistic ethnographic design and the technique on which this work will be based is the semi-structured interview, which was validated by a pilot interview. Finally, is going to be used the convenience sampling strategy and the limitations found in this investigation are based on the access to information, dependence on the time of the interviewees and the lack of external validity as it is a qualitative study.
