In recent years, various healthy trends have emerged, which have been strengthened by the appearance of Covid-19, due to the fact that people seek to eat healthy and stabilize themselves in shape, through a diet low in fat, sodium, sugar, cholesterol, among others. Vegetarianism, veganism, gluten-free and organic foods are mentioned as the main current trends in healthy eating, being vegetarian and vegan the most popular and demanded by consumers. For this reason, with a more demanding market, where guests look for healthy food alternatives when choosing a hotel, the hotel sector chooses to expand the offer of healthy food and beverages. However, some foods on the menu may not be healthy, because they contain ingredients that are not considered healthy. As a result, five-star hotels have expanded their offer with diet buffets and various hotels are interested in obtaining certifications to provide healthy and balanced meal alternatives. The purpose of this research work allows to know the current trends of healthy eating within the hotel sector, using the literature review methodology with the integrative approach and incorporating various scientific articles and theses that are available on the subject and integrating them into a single document, in order to evaluate, criticize, synthesize and expand the theoretical and practical base. It was found as a main finding that the current trends of healthy eating grow continuously and provide more growth opportunities to the hotel sector.
