Soils commonly develop differential settlements at the subgrade foundation. Based on this, the present investigation proposes an alternative for stabilization in the subgrade soil through the application of the stabilizer that is sodium silicate. For this purpose, a characterization of the geotechnical properties has been carried out in a soil mechanics laboratory before and after the improvement. For the analysis of the percentages and the determination of the optimum proportion of sodium silicate, the following dosages of 4%, 6%, 8% and 10% have been considered in order to evaluate their results and obtain the necessary dosage of sodium silicate. sodium used for soil improvement. Indicators such as modified Proctor test, CBR, are considered as comparison parameters to measure the effectiveness of the improvement proposal; Prior to this, a characterization of the materials was carried out.
