The goal of this investigation project is to discover the existence of any kind of relationship between telework intensity and work engagement among the professors at non-profit universities in the city of Lima, in the year 2022. Telework intensity will be measured in the number of days per week the subject in question works under this format, taking research performed in Japan by the Scientific Journal “Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine” as a basis. In respect to work engagement, the reduced model of the Utrecht Engagement Scale (UWES-3) will be used, a tool that analyzes this variable in three dimensions: vigor, dedication, and absorption. To analyze the relationship of one variable and the other a quantitative investigation was led. A questionnaire based on the previously mentioned studies was used, and it was forwarded towards professors at non-profit universities, which resulted in 372 test subjects. The results showed that first, the intensity of telework had no relationship with the three dimensions of work engagement, which are vigor, dedication and absorption. This negated the three specific hypothesis of the current investigation work. Later, it was also found that the general hypothesis was also negated, confirming that there was no link between telework intensity and work engagement between professors at nonprofit universities in Lima, Peru.
