The present research work seeks to determine the variation of weights that exists in the lightened slabs, which would be the reduction of the seismic force due to the change of system. There are studies referring to the cost benefit of the use of these new systems, but few refer to clearly determining the seismic response to a demand of a large magnitude earthquake. For this reason, it is proposed to carry out a seismic analysis design in three multi-family buildings and apply acting overloads, determine the weight, seismic force, drifts with the different systems, such as the Firth prestressed joists, Pre-slabs, conventional slabs and steel beam. Through the evaluation through three-dimensional models and using the Etabs software, comparative ratios will be obtained in order to obtain results that will serve as a guide for the adequate decision in the structural design, following the prescriptions of the seismic-resistant standard E.030, mezzanines with a system of prestressed joists, precast slab or the slab beam system. With this, it is proposed to implement a more efficient solution to the structural design using the different proposed alternatives.
