UNESCO affirms that culture contributes to the eradication of poverty and paves the way for inclusive, equitable and humancentered development. In other words, without culture there is no sustainable development. Apparently, it proposes a Performing Arts Center in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho. Why San Juan de Lurigancho? This is the most populated district in the country with more than a million inhabitants. In the eighties, the área was invaded by a wave of migrants from Ayacucho, Huánuco, Huancavelica, Junín, Cerro de Pasco, Arequipa and Lambayeque in search of a better future. These brought their customs and traditions, some of these eventually merged. However, at present we can identify that in the district there are organizations that promote art and culture, but these do not have the necessary infrastructure for the development of various activities. Consequently, the thesis research focuses on the correct study of the user, place, program for a good architectural design. Two important blocks are proposed, which are dissemination and education focused on the cultural diversity and need of the district, with the vision of promoting the social inclusion and identity of the place, for the individual and collective enrichment of the Luriganchinos.
