The invention of the radio at the end of the 19th century marked a milestone in the history of humanity by facilitating the transmission of news within the convulsive contexts that afflicted society at the beginning of the 20th century. For this reason, the radio ended up becoming the most popular means of communication at that time. Over the years, the radio offer transcended the sphere of news, and began to offer a wide range of content such as educational programs and entertainment programs, as well as controlling a large part of the advertising market. That being said, its diffusion became a social phenomenon that brought together large sectors of the population to listen to sports broadcasts or tune in to music programs. Currently, and despite the rise of digital platforms, smartphones and the invention of new technologies, the radio continues to play an important role in certain sectors of society thanks to its low cost and easy access. Despite being a traditional mass, the radio has been able to adapt to changing times and has evolved to stay current. In this sense, radio language has played an important role. In the present work we will seek to analyze in theoretical terms the way in which the resources used in radio language by radio announcers, allow to establish closeness and persuade listeners in today's society.
