Currently, the Peruvian pharmaceutical industry is highly competitive, generating sales of more than 4 billion dollars annually. Likewise, the pharmaceutical industry in Peru shows a constant growth year after year. Within the industry there are more than 200 national and transnational laboratories, as well as distributors and large pharmaceutical chains that are part of the national pharmaceutical supply chain. The growth of this sector was thanks to the digital transformation whose impact of implementing new technologies or artificial intelligence is not only focused on the production of medicines, but also aims to speed up the sales process, place orders, carry out dispatches and all activities related to the logistics of the sector. In relation to the previous paragraph, the main objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between artificial intelligence and the optimization of the logistics chain in warehouses of importing pharmaceutical companies during the years 2018-2021. To achieve this objective, quantitative research was developed based on background analysis, making possible the correlation between both study variables. The instrumentation was carried out through the application of surveys to leading professionals in the pharmaceutical sector whose experience in the area of logistics has been proven. The processing of the surveys was carried out using the SPSS tool. After tabulation of the results, it was determined that there is a positive relationship between the study variables and supported by the dimensions of the dependent variable in relation to the independent variable. It is recommended to take into account the investment required for the implementation of AI, as well as the training of personnel to be able to handle this technology.
