The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of innovative technologies in the industry 4.0 due to constant changes around the world caused by digitalization and digital transformation, as well as the importance rapid adaptation of organizations to achieve the sustainability. For this, bibliographic sources from the last 5 years were reviewed, applying the qualitative and descriptive method to know the consequences of digital technologies in companies in countries of America, Asia, and Europe. This, in order to determinate the advantages of the application of technological development approaches that modify the industries. The extracted results proved that, thanks to the implementation of technologies such as the internet of things, the cloud, the big data, additive manufacturing and artificial intelligence, there are many benefits in operational, logistics and management processes; however, this implementation has a negative impact causing the reduction of jobs. With this study it has been possible to conclude that the industries obtain financial, organizational, and environmental improvements, however, there are barriers such as the lack of trained personnel, the lack of investment in technology infrastructure, and the lack of knowledge about implementation and benefits of these technologies.
