This research exposes the importance of resilience and its relationship to positive leadership. The crisis situations that organizations face today are harsher and often unpredictable. This study focused on analyzing the controversy of whether resilience is a cause or consequence of positive leadership, for this, information from scientific research and articles on positive leadership, resilience and psychological capital, published in recognized indexed journals, was collected and analyzed. The first chapter exposes the problematic actuality in which the leaders of the organizations operate, and the controversy arises as to whether “resilience is a cause or consequence of positive leadership“. The second chapter describes the type of research and approach, as well as the search engines that allowed obtaining the sources, from these the three subtopics that were developed were extracted: psychological capital and resilience, factors that affect resilience and positive leadership and resilience / psychological capital. The third chapter has the theoretical background of resilience, positive leadership and psychological capital, in addition to the development of the proposed subtopics where the objectives and contributions of the referenced research are disclosed. The fourth chapter collects the results, findings and conclusions of the analyzed investigations, finding points of agreement and discrepancy between the authors. Finally, it was not possible to identify whether resilience is a cause or consequence of positive leadership, for this reason organizational researchers are encouraged to delve into the field of positive leadership.
