The present investigation seeks to present a structural evaluation procedure through which the loss of the structural capacity of the pavement put into service of Av. Raúl Ferrero, related to the replacement of the pavement as a result of works of underground service installations, is evidenced and quantified. urban areas and calculate a thickness of the reinforcement asphalt binder so that the pavement meets its design useful life; In addition to qualitatively identifying bad practices that are carried out during maintenance work, non-compliance with the Technical Standard for Buildings CE.010 Urban Pavements in its chapter 5 “breakage and replacement of pavements for the installation of public services“. The investigation covers the problematic reality that urban pavement goes through due to the loss of structural capacity presumably after the work of underground installations. The quantitative evidence of the investigation is carried out first through the calculation of the Structural Number of design and execution in the year 2007, compared to the current Structural Number 2022 and its projection to 2027, determining that the pavement of Av. Raúl Ferrero will not fulfill its useful life; then the calculation of deflections in the pavement put into service shows that the replacement pavement does not have the same structural capacity as the existing pavement and through the Characteristic and Admissible Deflection, a structural reinforcement of 4cm is theoretically calculated so that the pavement of Av. Raúl Ferrero can fulfill its useful life in the year 2027.
