Effectiveness of leadership styles in a pandemic Organizations seek to ensure that their managers and supervisors possess the most effective leadership style in order to achieve business objectives. However, there are crisis situations in which it is often necessary to adopt an ad hoc style, which is different from the one we usually see. In this sense, the objective of this research is to analyze positions regarding the most effective leadership styles for organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic. As well, the specific objectives of this research are: to analyze the styles of transformational, digital and feminine leadership; to analyze the authoritarian leadership style; to analyze adaptive and participative leadership styles; to contrast positions on leadership styles during a pandemic in order to find similarities, differences and complementarity between them; and, finally, to analyze the information about the most effective leadership styles to answer the question posed within this research. To this aim, a review of the articles used was carried out, and the results showed the advantages and disadvantages of the different leadership styles. The main conclusion is that the authors do not agree on what was the most efficient leadership style during the pandemic, which shapes the controversy under study.
