Objetives: To assess whether functional status is associated with the level of quality of life in post-COVID-19 patients at a national hospital in Lima. Methods: Cross-sectional analytical study. The population were patients diagnosed with COVID-19, who were treated by the COVID-19 area at a National Hospital in Lima. 175 patients were included, in whom the sociodemographic and health characteristics were evaluated by means of a questionnaire, for the functional status variable the Post COVID-19 Functional Scale (PCFS) was used and for the quality of life variable the Quality of Life Questionnaire was used. SF-36 life. Results: Regarding the components of quality of life, it was found that the physical function dimension had the highest value with 72.97% (SD: 25.95) and general health the lowest value with 57.17% (SD: 23.52). When performing a multiple regression of the dimensions of quality of life with the post-COVID-19 functional status, it was found that these variables are statistically associated; The higher the degree of limitation of functional status, the lower the mean in the dimensions of quality of life in patients compared to patients without functional limitations (p<0.05). Disscusion: The findings of this study could be of great interest for health care since it provides relevant data to be able to carry out a follow-up after hospital discharge, since it is necessary to determine the post-COVID-19 consequences and have better management of the patient. Conclusions: We found that functional status is associated with five of the components of quality of life (physical function, general health, emotional role, and mental health) in post-COVID-19 patients. It is verified that patients with a higher degree of functional limitation have lower quality of life in all its dimensions (physical function, general health, emotional role and mental health).
