The present study focuses on implementing the Methodology of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) in the HVAC system of Jorge Chavez International Airport where an increase in corrective maintenance costs has been detected, and low equipment availability. Chapter I describes the theoretical framework describing the concepts of maintenance management, organization, maintenance indicators, criticality analysis, Ishikawa diagram, Pareto diagram, Weibull distribution, RCM and FMECA methodology. Chapter II describes the current situation of the company in which the problem is identified in the HVAC system, and high corrective maintenance costs. In addition, the main causes of the problem are identified and hierarchical. Chapter III develops the solution to the problem. RCM methodology will be applied to the HVAC system, which reduces the cost of corrective maintenance, and improves the availability of equipment. In chapter IV an economic-financial evaluation is made to determine the viability of the improvement proposal. In addition, a validation of the improvement proposal will be made in the Monte Carlo simulator by means of the ProModel program. Chapter V develops the conclusions and recommendations of the previous chapters.
