Aim: to evaluate the association between internal migration and the double burden of malnutrition in Peruvian women of childbearing age according to age group. Methodology: This secondary analytical cross-sectional study of the Demographic and Family Health Survey (ENDES) evaluated internal migration (IM) through migratory flows (non-migrants, recent migrants, urban-urban, urban-rural, rural-urban, and rural -rural) and DBM due to the coexistence of anemia and abdominal obesity in the same woman. The probability of presenting DBM in these migrant women of childbearing age was evaluated through a generalized linear model with family and log Poison link option, presented in prevalence ratio (PR). Results: The general adjusted model found higher DBM in urban-urban migrant MEF (RPa 1.30 95% CI 1.04;1.62, p=0.019, RPa 1.23 95% CI 1.01;1, 52, p=0.049), in those under 35 years of age there was more DBM in urban-rural migrants (RPa 1.55 95% CI 1.02;2.34, p=0.040) and in MEF of 35 years and over, higher DCM in urban-urban migrants (RPa 0.40 95% CI 1.01;1.92, p=0.041) compared to rural non-migrants. Conclusions: An association was found between DBM and different migratory flows in women of childbearing age. Compared to rural non-migrants, there was a higher probability of DBM in urban-urban migrants and in urban non-migrants. In women aged 35 years and over, there was a greater probability of DBM in urban-urban migrants, while in women under 35 years of age, a greater DBM was found in urban-rural migrants.
