The present research addresses the topic of reinforcement of reinforced concrete bridges in Peru. In order to explain the subject adequately, the work has been divided into five chapters. In the first chapter of the work, a synthesis of the general concepts of rehabilitation and reinforcement of bridges, definitions, similarities and differences, is sought. In addition to explaining the main causes that originate the strengthening of a bridge, as well as the main strengthening techniques. The second chapter is a synthesis of the main characteristics of each bridge, construction dates and design overloads are also mentioned. In the third chapter we will analyze the evaluation, modeling and structural analysis of bridges, to explain this topic adequately the chapter has been divided into four subchapters. The first one focuses on the evaluation of the actual strength of bridges. The second one explains how to model bridges in the SAP2000 structural program. The third one shows the values obtained during the structural analysis with the new design overload HL93 of the LRFD. Finally, the subchapter on the comparison between the current resistance and the effects produced by the new overload is developed, thus determining which sectors of the bridges need to be reinforced. In the fourth chapter, the reinforcement itself is developed with its different techniques and methods. Finally, the fifth chapter shows the budgets obtained, as well as the drawings.
