Autoevaluación por parte de un intérprete novel sobre el desempeño obtenido durante la interpretación de un discurso en modalidad simultánea

Abstract

La interpretación simultánea (IS) es una de las modalidades más productivas y efectivas en tiempo real, puesto que facilita la comunicación en eventos o conferencias de carácter internacional. No obstante, debido a la serie de procesos que conlleva para producir un servicio de interpretación de calidad, investigadores han centrado su atención en el desempeño de los intérpretes. Este trabajo de fin de curso tiene como objetivo analizar el desempeño obtenido por la autora de este trabajo durante la interpretación simultánea del discurso 2019 Standford Commencement address by Tim Cook, inglés-español. Los resultados obtenidos corroboran que he podido comprender mejor mi proceso de desempeño durante la IS y sirven como referente para los intérpretes noveles y estudiantes en formación que quieran entender las posibles causas de error durante la interpretación en esta modalidad.

Simultaneous Interpretation (SI) is one of the most productive and effective modalities in real time since it facilitates communication at international events or conferences. Nonetheless, due to the series of processes involved in producing a quality interpreting service, researchers have focused their attention on the performance of the interpreters. This Degree Final Project aims to analyze the performance obtained by the author of this work during the simultaneous interpretation of the speech 2019 Stanford Commencement address by Tim Cook, from English into Spanish. The results obtained from this analysis corroborate that I have been able to better understand my performance process during a simultaneous interpreting and serve as a reference for novice interpreters and students in training who want to comprehend the possible causes of error during simultaneous interpretating.
