Current research in foreign language didactics has approached the study of students' perceptions, however, studies that focus on LC learning for translation and interpreting have yet to be deepened. The aim of this research is to analyze students' perceptions of their LC learning in translation. The case study is situated in a university in Lima, Peru. The research was carried out through a longitudinal approximate analysis based on a mixed method. The information was obtained through surveys (159), interviews (12), and a focus group (7) conducted with students at different stages of their training: freshmen (who have just chosen their LC), intermediate (close to finishing their LC training) and advanced (close to finishing their degree), in the languages of Chinese, French and Portuguese. The results of the research indicate that students' perception of satisfaction with their LC learning varies throughout their degree and is conditioned by the language they chose. Several factors such as motivation, perceived proficiency, learning environment, and self-efficacy would also influence their perceptions.
