Bilingüismo y representación de la cultura cubana en las versiones original y dobladas al español e italiano de la serie One day at a time (2017)

Abstract

En los últimos años, diversas plataformas de streaming han apostado por trabajar con productos con contenido multicultural, en los cuales el contraste de culturas se ve representado a través de diferentes elementos como rasgos socioculturales y marcas lingüísticas. En virtud de ello, se ha tomado como objeto de estudio la serie One day at a time (2017) en las versiones en inglés, español e italiano. Esta comedia de situación narra la historia ficcional de una familia cubano-estadounidense que migró al estado de California (USA) a causa de los estragos que dejó la revolución cubana de 1959. Por ello, la presente investigación pretende llevar a cabo un análisis que muestre la manera en la que estos elementos, dentro de este contexto en particular, se han representado y traducido en tres de sus versiones. A lo largo de la serie se evidencian diferentes rasgos y marcas que van a ser de utilidad para construir un corpus sólido basado en segmentos con carga cultural en las versiones original y dobladas, los cuales, posteriormente, serán analizados de manera contrastiva.

In recent years, various streaming platforms have opted to work with products with multicultural content, in which the contrast of cultures is represented through different elements such as socio-cultural traits and linguistic marks. By virtue of this, the series One day at a time (2017) in the English, Spanish and Italian versions has been taken as the object of study. This sitcom tells the fictional story of a Cuban-American family that migrated to the state of California (USA) because of the ravages left by the Cuban revolution of 1959. For this reason, the present research aims to carry out an analysis that shows the way in which these elements, within this particular context, have been represented and translated in three of its versions. Throughout the series, different features and marks are evidenced that will be useful to build a solid corpus based on culturally charged segments in the original and dubbed versions, which will later be analyzed in a contrastive manner.
