In Peru, the mining sector represents at 10% of GDP (Gross domestic Product) it's one of the most important sector for this country. Also, this country it’s considered one of the main exporter of Zinc in order to all South America; however, the great matter is the low use of their capability, in the rate of 84.31%. Some reasons for this problem are, for instance: messy places to work, death time of machines and delay in the inspection. For that reason this work try to show a model based on parts of TPM and RCM, tools that could solve these problems showed that influenced in the low efficiency of capacity installed. By this way, the present work is focus on Lean’s Manufacturing methodology, with the goal to decrease the percentage of stopping machine and take care of maintenance through the main topics of TPM and RCM. The Lean approach has any tools that allow delete these kind of problems, for that we have to analyze of every kind of variable releated to the process that is envolved in the production of Zinc, where we could find and cuantified the main reason of the problems showed in the area of Tostacion to erase these problems in the end. Finally, the model proposed could increase the percentage of production from 74.36% to 79.84%, reduce death time of machines from 219 to 183 hours per machine, increase disponibility of machines from 77.97% to 86.53%, with this work we try contribute in the increase of use of our capacity and help others companies around the country involved in this industry.
