In principle, the research project is based on the typology of a Gerontological Residential Care Center for the elderly, which is located in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho because it is the district with the highest percentage of elderly people at the provincial level and with an architectural deficit of establishments for this population. The Gerontological Residential Care Center has the purpose of providing temporary housing to the self-sufficient elderly, innovating by reinforcing the knowledge and experiences achieved throughout their lives, with workshops and activities for their integral development, with a view to future labor insertion. In addition, to benefit the district with the interdistrict interconnection between San Juan de Lurigancho with Comas and San Martin de Porres, being the 2nd and 3rd district with the highest percentage of older adults. Therefore, a macro social, historical and architectural analysis was carried out to achieve this goal in the design stage. Likewise, consist of social, sanitary and recreational spaces that respond to a good perception of the elderly through Sensory Architecture. Moreover, the user is prioritized considering the accessibility and future dependencies in the adaptation of spaces and the clear reading of the project so as not to cause disorientation to this particular user.
